Through the City of New Haven's "State and George" RFP, Gilbane Development Company and Xenolith Partners were recently awarded  the opportunity to develop Site A-1, or "The Iron". The Iron is designed as a 279-unit mixed income project, which will offer residents a range of studios, one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, and three-bedrooms with 25% of the units programmed as affordable. The building will be fully amenitized and will also have underground parking.

Community engagement will commence August/September 2024 and construction is expected to start in late-2025/2026.
